Raipur (Chhattisgarh) [India], July 30 (ANI): Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai has said that the state government is preparing a “Vision document” for a developed Chhattisgarh and it will be dedicated to the public on the foundation day of the state on November 1.
Speaking to the media, CM Sai said, “Niti Aayog meeting was held on the 27th under the chairmanship of PM Narendra Modi. There was a very meaningful discussion that the country has to be made a developed India by 2047 and we are also preparing a vision document for developed Chhattisgarh. The vision document is being prepared after taking opinions from all sections, which will be dedicated to the public on the foundation day of the state on 1st November.”
“Information about this was given there as well and today we met Shivraj Singh Chouhan, who is the Agriculture and Panchayat Rural Development Minister of the country. The poor people here have been deprived of Pradhan Mantri Awas in the last 5 years and we have approved it as soon as the government was formed. And those who surrender in Naxalite areas, people should be given the benefit of Pradhan Mantri Awas separately. All these requests have been made and he has listened to us and has assured us that he will cooperate,” he added.
Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai met Union Agriculture and Rural Development Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan on Monday and discussed in detail issues related to agriculture and rural development, mainly Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana and Pradhan Mantri Gramin Sadak Yojana in naxal-affected areas of Chhattisgarh, and exemption from the Aadhar-based payment system (ABPS) for naxal-affected regions under MGNREGA.
During the meeting at Krishi Bhawan here, the chief minister informed the union minister that 15.18 lakh families in Chhattisgarh have not yet received housing approval under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana. Of these, 6.99 lakh families are on the permanent waiting list and 8.19 lakh families are included in the Awas Plus scheme. He highlighted that the problem persisted due to non-receipt of the state’s share of the scheme in the past five years. (ANI)
