Recently, a comment by Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Arvind Sawant about Shaina NC stirred controversy. While campaigning for Congress MLA Amin Patel, Sawant allegedly referred to Shaina as “imported maal,” remarking, “Look at her situation. She spent her entire career in the BJP and now has joined another party. Imported ‘maal’ doesn’t work here; only original ‘maal’ does.” Sawant later apologized, claiming he was “deliberately targeted.”
