“Backstabbers:” Kerala NCP SP president lashes out at Ajit Pawar’s faction for using Sharad Pawar’s photo – World News Network

New Delhi [India], November 14 (ANI): Kerala Nationalist Congress Party (Sharadchandra Pawar) or Kerala NCP SP president PC Chacko on Thursday labelled Ajit Pawar’s faction as “backstabbers” saying that they used Sharad Pawar’s photograph in the previous elections also. He said that using Sharad Pawar’s photo only shows the popularity of the senior leader.
“This is a very interesting situation in Maharashtra. In the last election also, Ajit Pawar faction was using Sharad Pawar’s photograph. Sharad Pawar is their political enemy and his photo is being used by them. It only shows how popular is Sharad Pawar ji in Maharashtra. Unfortunately, the backstabbers are using Sharad Pawar’s photo, then and even now,” said Chacko.
The Kerala NCP SP chief took a dig at Ajit Pawar’s Nationalist Congress Party saying that they were in desperation and that’s why they were using Sharad Pawar’s photo since people have sympathy for the senior leader of Maharashtra.
“This is the second time that the SC is giving such directions to Ajit Pawat to not use (Sharad Pawar’s photo). This shows they are losing day by day and NCP-SP is gaining. More than that, this election has only one leader in Maharashtra… People have sympathy for Sharad Pawar…It is in desperation that Ajit Pawar faction is using his photo. They should follow the SC order otherwise the consequences will be severe,” Chacko told ANI.
This comes after the Supreme Court asked Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) chief Ajit Pawar to refrain from using Sharad Pawar’s photograph ahead of the upcoming assembly elections in Maharashtra.
A bench of Justices Surya Kant and Ujjal Bhuyan asked Ajit Pawar faction of NCP that they have to fight the elections based on their separate identity and should not depend on Sharad Pawar’s name in the election fight.
It asked Ajit Pawar to instruct the members of his party to not use the pictures and videos of Sharad Pawar.
The bench also said that voters are wise enough to see through any confusion.
“You try to stand up on your legs, now that you have ideological difference with Sharad Pawar,” it said. (ANI)
