“BJP will form the government alone…”: Haryana CM Nayab Saini on exit poll projections – World News Network

Panchkula (Haryana) [India], October 6 (ANI): Amid the exit polls projections against the BJP in Haryana, Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini on Sunday exuded confidence in forming a government “alone”, saying, they have “all the arrangements.”
“We will not need any kind of alliance; I have said from the very beginning that the BJP will form the government alone. We have all the arrangements. I am confident that BJP will alone form the government but if we need that (alliance) we will give it a thought; we have all the arrangements,” said CM Saini while addressing a press conference.
CM Saini said that the BJP will form the government with a full majority while the opposition will blame Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs) for this – ‘8 taarikh ko janta degi jawaab aur ye (Congress) kahenge EVM hai kharab’.
He further thanked all the party workers and top leadership for campaigning in Haryana during assembly polls.
CM Saini said, “I thank the top leadership of my party those who have guided us in this election – PM Modi, party’s national president JP Nadda, Union Home Minister Amit Shah and Defence Minister Rajnath Singh. I thank lakhs of party workers in Haryana who worked to spread the government’s works and schemes. We will form the government and that too with a full majority on October 8, I have this report. ‘8 taarikh ko janta degi jawaab aur ye (Congress) kahenge EVM hai kharab’. They will surely blame EVM.”
“Although we had competition on several seats but BJP will form the government with a full majority because of the works done by the double-engine government in Haryana. We worked to normalise the lives of people, as during the Congress regime, people have to wait in lines, wait for 4 days to get a gas cylinder. We have worked to remove all these problems. We have worked for each community without any discrimination,” he added.
CM Saini expressed gratitude to all the officials of the Haryana police and paramilitary personnel who worked to conduct elections peacefully.
“…I would like to thank 2 cr 80 lakh people of Haryana for participating in a successful election process by maintaining social harmony and brotherhood. I thank all the officials and those who facilitated this festival of democracy. I thank the Haryana police and paramilitary personnel due to whom we all got involved in this democratic festival, their hard work is an inspiration to us. I salute all of them due to whom this election was conducted peacefully and without any trouble,” CM Saini said.
The exit polls predicted a clean sweep for the Congress in Haryana, with some polls predicting the party will win more than 50 of the 90 seats in the assembly.
The TV-Today C voter projection said that the party may win 50-58 seats in the state, while it said that the BJP can win 20-28 seats. The other can win 10-16 seats. The majority mark to form the government in the 90-member assembly is 46.
According to the Republic TV-Matrize poll, the Congress Party may get 55-62 seats out of 90, while the BJP is poised to win18-24 seats.
People Pulse poll survey said that the Congress may get 44-54 seats, BJP 15-29 and others may win up to 4-9 seats.
Dainik Bhaskar in its poll survey suggested that the Congress will get 44-54 seats, BJP 15-29 and others may get 4-9.
As per the Dhruv Research polls survey, the Congress may get 50-64 seats, and BJP may win up to 22-32 seats in the state.
The single-phase polling for 90 Assembly Constituencies in Haryana concluded peacefully on Saturday across more than 20,000 polling stations and recorded a final voter turnout of 65.65 percent.
According to the Election Commission of India (ECI), single-phase polling for General Elections to the Legislative Assembly of Haryana recorded an approximate voter turnout of 65.65 per cent as of 11:45 pm, which beats the Lok Sabha 2024 voter turnout of 64.8 per cent in the state. (ANI)
