Bulandshahr (Uttar Pradesh) [India], July 19 (ANI): The Uttar Pradesh Police arrested a man who shot at a woman in Jahangirpur Police Station yesterday. The video of the accused shooting the woman went viral on social media on Wednesday.
The accused, identified as Dabangg Munesh, shot the woman in broad daylight because she was unable to repay her husband’s loan.
Munesh had opened the door of the victim’s house and shot her with a pistol. Luckily, the woman narrowly escaped the bullet.
The husband of the victim had died a year ago and the accused was constantly pressuring the victim to pay the loan. The viral video also showed the accused bullying the victim.
The Circle Officer of Khurja, Varun Kumar, said that a case has been filed and the accused has been taken into arrest. The investigations in the case are currently ongoing. The police also said that the accused had fractured his left hand after he slipped off while escaping.
“A case has been filed by the Jahangirpur Police Station and the accused has been taken under arrest. The investigations are on. The accused had fractured his left hand after he slipped while escaping,” Kumar said.
Earlier, on July 16, two people were apprehended in connection with the murder of a patient inside a ward at the Guru Teg Bahadur Hospital (GTB) in Delhi.
The police had registered a case on July 14 based on the statement of a person, Tarranum Malik.
In her statement, Malik said that her brother Riyazzudin was shot by an unknown person in Ward 24 of the GTB Hospital, where he was undergoing treatment.
A PCR call was made, and the case was registered. Police had obtained the video footage from the cameras near the ward and the ground-floor cameras, which showed four people entering the hospital’s emergency gate. (ANI)
