Ayodhya (Uttar Pradesh) [India], October 4 (ANI): The second day of the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Construction Committee meeting is being held in Ayodhya on Friday under the chairmanship of Nripendra Mishra.
Talking about the three-day meeting, Mishra said that a review meeting was held on Thursday and confirmed that the construction of Shikhar had started.
Speaking to media persons, Mishra said, “A review meeting was held yesterday. We discussed several important things. One of the most important is that the construction of Shikhar, which is a very big technical challenge for us, commenced yesterday. It has been decided that agencies like Larsen Toubro, TCE, and CRBI will be involved in the construction and every layer will have a proper investigation done.”
Further, he said that the small construction works would be handed over to the trust in instalments.
“The small construction works like substations, fire stations, sewer treatment plants, and water treatment plants that have been completed will now be handed over to the trust in instalments. This will make the trust responsible for the maintenance and operations. All the other construction works have also been monitored,” he added.
Mishra also said that the timetable scheduled has been delayed by two to three months and if no adverse situations occur, the construction is expected to be completed by July 2025.
“The timetable that was made has been delayed by two to three months. I believe that if no adverse situations occur, the construction will be completed by July 2025 and 90 percent of the agencies will leave from here,” Mishra said.
The Shri Ram Janmbhoomi Mandir is constructed in traditional Nagara style. Its length (east-west) is 380 feet; its width is 250 feet, and its height is 161 feet; and it is supported by a total of 392 pillars and 44 doors.
The pillars and walls of the temple showcase intricately sculpted depictions of Hindu deities, Gods, and goddesses.
In the main sanctum sanctorum on the ground floor, the childhood form of Bhagwan Shri Ram (the idol of Shri Ramlalla) has been placed. (ANI)
