CRPF DG Anish Dayal Singh given additional charge of National Security Guard by Centre – World News Network

New Delhi [India], August 15 (ANI): The Centre on Thursday gave additional charge of the post of Director General of National Security Guard to Central Reserve Police Force Director General Anish Dayal Singh.
“Consequent upon inter-cadre deputation of Nalin Prabhat, IPS (AP:92), Director General, National Security Guard (NSG) from Andhra Pradesh to AGMUT cadre, the competent authority has approved that Anish Dayal Singh, IPS (MA:88), Director General, Central Reserve Police Force shall hold additional charge of the post of DG, NSG vice Nalin Prabhat, IPS (AP:92), till the appointment and joining of the regular incumbent or until further orders whichever is earlier,” Ministry of Home Affairs stated in a notice.
Earlier on Wednesday, the Ministry of Home Affairs announced the names of the Punjab Police officials to be awarded the Medal for Gallantry (GM), President’s Medal for Distinguished Service (PMDS) and Medal for Meritorious Service (MMS) on the eve of 78th Independence Day.
As per an official release, the team of the Anti-Gangster Task Force (AGTF) including Assistant Inspector General (AIG) Sandeep Goel, Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Bikramjit Singh Brar, DSP Rajan Parminder Singh, Inspector Pushvinder Singh, SI Jaspreet Singh, SI Gurpreet Singh, and Constable Sukhraj Singh have been awarded Medal for Gallantry.
An IPS officer, Additional Director General of Police (ADGP) Cyber Crime, V Neeraja, and a PPS officer, AIG Flying Squad Vigilance Bureau, Manmohan Kumar, were to be conferred with the President’s Medal for Distinguished Service.
Similarly, three PPS officers, including Commandant 3rd Commando Battalion Jagwinder Singh, DSP Crime Chandigarh Gurbakshish Singh Mann, and DSP SPU Sanjeev Kumar, are among the 13 officials who have been selected for the Medal for Meritorious Service.
The remaining officials include Inspector Amarbir Singh, Inspector Sukhbir Singh, Inspector Narinder Kumar, SI Daljit Singh, SI Ranjot Singh, SI Balbir Singh, SI Ravinder Singh, SI Naresh Kumar, ASI Mohammed Ramzan, and ASI Gurdev Singh. (ANI)
