Jhajjar (Haryana) [India], August 4 (ANI): Delhi Transport Minister Kailash Gahlot flagged off buses on route 848, marking the expansion of the Delhi Government’s bus services to Gubhana-Majri village in Jhajjar district, Haryana, on Sunday.
Gahlot stated that the demand for this service had been longstanding and that it would greatly benefit the common people.
“This demand has been longstanding. Seeing the improvements in transport services in Delhi under CM Arvind Kejriwal’s leadership, people requested a bus on this route. This will provide significant convenience to the common people,” he said.
On X, Gahlot congratulated the residents of Gubhana-Majri village, announcing the inauguration of bus route 848 from Gubhana-Majri village.
“Congratulations to Gubhana-Majri village of Jhajjar district, Haryana! On the auspicious occasion of expanding the Delhi Government’s bus service to Gubhana-Majri village, bus route 848 was flagged off today,” he said.
He further noted that although the distance from the Najafgarh border to Gubhana-Majri village is only 2 km, the lack of public buses had made commuting to Delhi difficult for the villagers.
“The distance from Najafgarh border to Gubhana-Majri village (Jhajjar, Haryana) is only 2 km, but due to the non-availability of public buses, the villagers faced difficulties commuting to Delhi. During a recent meeting, the villagers requested the extension of Delhi government buses, which go to Bakargarh village of Najafgarh, to Gubhana and Majri villages,” he said.
He added that with the new bus service, people from Gubhana, Majri, Luksar, Gangadwa, Goyala, Khedka, Deshalpur, Shahpur, Khungaai, Jagratpur, Kharman, and Bupania will no longer face difficulties commuting to and from Delhi.
“I am confident that with the new bus route 848 extending to Gubhana-Majri village, the villagers of Gubhana, Majri, Luksar, Gangadwa, Goyala, Khedka, Deshalpur, Shahpur, Khungaai, Jagratpur, Kharman, and Bupania will no longer face difficulties commuting to and from Delhi. The Kejriwal government is committed to providing easy and world-class transport facilities to the people,” he said. (ANI)
