“Police personnel were specially trained for Mahakumbh”: UP CM Yogi interacts with officials of IIM and Indian Postal Service – World News Network

Lucknow (Uttar Pradesh) [India], March 3 (ANI): Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Monday interacted with officials of IIM and the Indian Postal Service on the topic of nation-building through the successful organisation of Mahakumbh and said that police personnel were specially trained for the biggest religious congregation in the world.
“The police personnel were specially trained for this (Mahakumbh)… They were counselled for 4 months; special courses were organised for them as the public gets angry sometimes – imagine someone who never has walked this much will have to walk for 10 km, the person will get angry. But the police have to be tolerant and helpful,” CM Yogi said.
Mahakumbh 2025 emerged as a historic event with its divine, grand, and well-organized execution, witnessing an unprecedented gathering of over 66 crore devotees. Held on the banks of Sangam in Uttar Pradesh’s Prayagraj, the Mahakumbh marked a sacred occasion after 144 years, drawing immense crowds from across India and the world.
The Yogi government implemented several exemplary initiatives to ensure this divine event’s safety and seamless organization. A key highlight was the establishment of the Digital Khoya Paya Kendra.
Amidst the sea of devotees, many got separated from their loved ones. However, thanks to the foresight of the Yogi government and its dedicated efforts, 54,357 separated individuals were successfully reunited with their families.
On the initiative of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, 10 digital Khoya Paya Kendra were set up across the Mahakumbh area. These centers featured state-of-the-art AI-based facial recognition systems, machine learning, and multilingual support.
Mahakumbh-2025, which began on January 13, Paush Purnima, concluded on February 26, Maha Shivratri, in Prayagraj. (ANI)
