“Rahul Gandhi does not know what to say”: BJP MP Brij Bhushan Singh – World News Network

Gonda (Uttar Pradesh) [India], October 20 (ANI): BJP MP Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh has criticised Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, accusing him of being out of touch with what to say and labelling his team as part of the ‘tukde tukde’ gang.
Speaking from his ancestral residence in Gonda, Uttar Pradesh, Singh remarked, “Rahul Gandhi does not know what to say, and his team is part of the ‘tukde tukde’ gang. They once claimed that the Constitution granted them backward status, and now they refer to him as the owner of the forest. He merely repeats what his advisors tell him without using his own judgement.”
Rahul Gandhi’s comments came during his address at the ‘Samvidhan Samman Sammelan’ in Ranchi, ahead of the upcoming Jharkhand elections. He criticised the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) for attempting to rewrite the history of Adivasis by calling them ‘Vanvasis’. Gandhi further asserted that the Congress party, if in power, would abolish the 50 percent reservation cap and conduct a caste census.
He described the ongoing struggle to protect constitutional values as a centuries-old battle, asserting that the Constitution embodies the ideologies of India’s great spiritual thinkers and leaders. “It is a fight between the Constitution and the Manusmriti,” he stated.
Gandhi also highlighted the need for a caste census, calling it an “X-ray of society” to understand the representation of different castes in various institutions and their control over wealth. He pointed out the significant disparity in wealth distribution, noting that the wealthiest one percent of Indians control 40 percent of the country’s resources, while the remaining 90 percent have little to no representation in key sectors such as media, business, and the bureaucracy.
He also cited Bollywood as an example, stating that Dalits, Backwards, and Adivasis are largely absent from the industry, receiving only symbolic respect but no real power.
The Jharkhand assembly elections will be held in two phases on November 13 and November 20. (ANI)
