YSRCP flays Sharmila and CM Naidu for spreading lies, politicising family issues – World News Network

Ongole (Andhra Pradesh) [India], October 25 (ANI): YSRCP spokesperson and former MLA Rachamallu Sivaprasad Reddy criticised Andhra Pradesh Congress chief YS Sharmila Reddy’s recent statements calling them lies, stating that she is conspiring against YSRCP Chief YS Jagan Mohan Reddy’s political career and aligning with rivals Chandrababu Naidu and TDP MLA Paritala Sunitha out of a desire for power.
Speaking to the media in Proddatur, Rachamallu stated that YS Jagan has love and respect for his sister, which is why he gave her a share in his self-acquired assets and clarified that he only approached the National Company Law Tribunal (NCLT) due to unavoidable circumstances and not to claim assets in court. The former MLA emphasized that no matter what happens to YS Jagan, the party leaders and workers share a strong emotional bond with him.
Rachamallu questioned Sharmila’s motives, saying they came from greed and arrogance. He noted that, even though Sharmila has no legal right to certain assets, she is trying to pull her brother into a public dispute over property. He highlighted that Jagan has already supported his sister financially, giving her around Rs 200 crore over the last decade.
He criticized Sharmila for transferring shares against an existing agreement, which led Jagan to approach the NCLT to cancel the transfer legally and suggested that Sharmila’s actions were driven by her ambition and desire for power. He commended Jagan’s wife, Bharati, for willingly agreeing to give Sharmila her rightful share without any objection and condemned Sharmila for criticizing her.
Meanwhile speaking to the media at a separate press conference in Ongole, YSRCP spokesperson and former MLC Jupudi Prabhakar urged CM Chandrababu Naidu not to turn family matters into political issues, warning that people will disapprove of such actions.
He stated that Naidu’s coalition government has neglected governance, focusing instead on “diversion politics” and damaging essential sectors like education, health, and agriculture. Jupudi further demanded that Naidu should explain his own family’s property divisions instead of exploiting Jagan’s family matters for political gain. (ANI)
